Hefty ReNew Program

Together, we can keep useful plastics out of landfills. With your help, we can make a difference by collecting hard-to-recycle plastics and giving them a second life.

How it Works

Hefty renew bag with large recycle bin

Imagine giving candy wrappers and foam takeout containers a new purpose instead of ending up as trash. It only takes three easy steps to keep hard-to-recycle plastics out of the landfill and turn them into something good.

Bag up your items

Fill the Hefty® ReNew® Orange Bag with acceptable, hard-to-recycle plastics like:

  • Plastic packaging
  • Bags and wraps
  • Foam products

Place curb side or drop-off

Tie up the full orange bag and place it with your curbside recycling along with your normal recyclables if available in your community, or take to an approved drop-off location.

Turn plastics into new things

The plastics make new products like building materials for decking, park benches, and more.
