Chicago Northern Suburbs Recycling Program

Unite with your neighbors to keep hard-to-recycle plastics out of landfills. Place accepted items in the Hefty® ReNew® Orange Bag and put the bag in your curbside recycling bin (if available) or take it to your local drop-off location. We take care of everything else to repurpose your plastics with the help of local partners.

Residents within these participating curbside pickup neighborhoods may request a starter kit. The kit includes an orange bag for the Hefty ReNew™ Program and information about how to participate. Limit one per household.

Chicago Northern Suburbs participating drop-off only locations 

  • Lake Bluff 
  • Lake Forest

Right now, Lake Forest and Lake Bluff residents may not put the orange bags in curbside recycling bins. Bags are accepted only at designated drop-off locations:

  • Lake Bluff: 640 Rockland Road, Lake Bluff, IL 60044 
  • Lake Forest: 1381 W. Kennedy Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045 

Note: Only residents of Lake Bluff and Lake Forest may use these drop-off locations.
